Emma is a single, thirty-something Parisian who enjoys the simple things in life, like drinking wine and chatting with her friends. She somehow manages to get herself hired as a columnist for a feminine magazine called Crushmind whereas she has always had an aversion to such magazines. You know, the ones telling women how to be beautiful and where to hang out to be cool and hip.

This is exactly what she has to do for Crushmind; she has to do the things that certain magazines recommend for woman and write about her experiences. But that’s not all, she has to date men every step of the way and write about that too.

From month to month over the course of a year, we follow Emma’s folies that inevitable throw her into a love triangle between a long-time friend who she starts to see differently once she notices his perfects abs at the gym, and her step-mother’s younger brother (what?!), someone she has never liked. Until now…

Cécile Chomin lives in the south of France with her husband and two children. Her novel Laisser tomber la neige (12 000 copies sold) was named by Babelio as the « Best Love Story » of 2019.
