François Y. Doré has spent his academic career being questioned by his peers.

Why does a psychology professor study animal behavior and not human behavior like most other professors in the field? Why not leave it to biologists, for whom it is their specialty, the task of wonder about animals and the evolutive origin of their behaviors?

In this work, he demonstrates in a detailed manner the reasons for which psychology has taken an interest, and should continue do so, in animal behavior and its relation to and influence on human behavior.

François Y. Doré is a psychology professor at the Université Laval. He has written over a hundred scientific articles in different journals of international renown as well as about 20 books.
