Alice, a student in Aix-en-Provence, works in a café to help her ends meet. There, she meets Elvira, a charming and eccentric elderly woman and she can’t possibly imagine how this encounter will change her life.

After Elvira is run over by a scooter, she dies in Alice’s arms. A few days later, Alice learns that Elvira has left her things in her will.

And so begins Alice’s quest to discover who took the life of this once beautiful woman, and the reasons for her solitude and secrets, and her connection to Alice’s family.

Alice’s path towards the real Elvira will be both painful and reconciliatory.

Aurélie Tramier, born in Aix-en-Provence in 1982, studied literature in Paris before turning towards marketing. The mother of three boys, she lives in Munich where she splits her time between writing and working as a consultant. In December 2017, she self-published her first novel Vous reprendrez bien un petit chou ?. and in 2020, La Belle Étoile published her second novel Peindre la pluie en couleurs.
