Book 2: Emma Darcy, the unforgettable owner of the Livres Penseurs in Saint-Flour, asks her young and whimsical niece Miranda to manage her bookstore in her absence. However, the man who shows up at the bookstore is not the person he claims to be because the real employee was killed by a reckless driver as he left the train station. In fact, Miranda was at the scene of the murder and saw the impostor take something out of the victim’s pocket. The two will team up to track the bookseller’s killer and, as part of the investigation, search for a lost manuscript written by Rimbaud.
