Cécile Cabanac was a journalist for over twenty years, a documentary filmmaker, and contributor for the TV crime program “Faites entrer l’accusé” .  She is the author of five highly acclaimed thrillers characterized by their disturbing realism: Des poignards dans les sourires (2019), Requiem pour un diamant (2020), La Petite Ritournelle de l’horreur (2022), Le Chaos dans nos veines (2023), and À pleurer tout nous condamne (2024), all published by Fleuve Editions.  This is her second novel published by Michel Lafon after 2025’s La poussière des morts.
