In the Eastern Pyrenees, police and media are on high alert: a sudden epidemic has claimed the lives of those who adventure down into the Gorre chasm. Having just reopened after a landslide that forced it to close for two years, the site plays on its scandalous reputation and offers sensational, sensory, and terrifying immersion experiences reserved for those over 18.

Léo Masset, a thirty-something nurse, knows this all too well: he and his friends tried the adventure, and three of them didn’t make it back to the surface, including his wife. Overwhelmed with grief, alone with his young son to care for, Léo is willing to do anything to bring down the owners of the chasm, who are playing a most dangerous game…
