L’Immeuble de la Rue Cavendish is a 6-book series launching Les Escales’ series. These first two books are being published in April 2022 with a first print-run of 10 000 copies each.

Each novel is narrated from the point-of-view of one of the residents of this typically Parisian apartment building in the neighborhood of the Parc Buttes-Chaumont. The main character of one book becomes a secondary character in the next. Between the new residents moving in, those who disappear from one day to the next, those who fall in love and those who, well, you’ll have to read to find out. One things for sure, there’s always something exciting happening inside...

Charlotte has gotten herself a new job working for a wedding planner. This will allow her to support her family while her husband Alexandre starts his new company. She even managed to negotiate Wednesday afternoons off so that she could spend time with her two children.

So long to the uncertain life of a freelancer and hello to a steady income, paid vacation and coffee breaks! Except that her co-worker Laetitia isn’t too happy with Charlotte’s arrival and her behavior becomes more and more difficult to deal with as she tries to sabotage Charlotte in the eyes of their boss.

To make matters worse, Charlotte argues more and more frequently with Alexandre while she gets closer and closer to Thomas, the sexy neighbor who just moved into the building. Just how far will she go? And just how far will Laetitia go to make her regret taking this job?

Caroline Kant used to live on Rue Cavendish for a long time. She has since left the city and spends her time between writing and other diverse jobs.
