After brilliantly writing about Japanese violinist Nejiko Suwa in the novel Le Stradivarius de Goebbels (translated into six languages), Yoann Iacono turns his attention to the Russian poet, playwright, artist, and actor Vladimir Vladimirovich Maïakovsky.

Vladimir was born into a family with modest means in 1893 and move to Moscow in 1906 after his father’s death. And so began his multiple-faceted life that’s fit for a novel; one that came to a young end in 1930. Vladimir’s son narrates this story of a father he never had the opportunity to meet.

Yoann Iacono was born in Bordeaux in 1980. His debut novel Le Stradivarius de Goebbels (2021) was longlisted for the Prix Maison de la Presse and translated into six languages.
